Chinese Chicken SaladThis is sister Robin's (Texas) recipe, and makes a great salad to take with you to a spread (as we say in Texas) or Potluck (as they say in the Pacific Northwest).
Chop cabbage into small pieces. Microwave chicken until done then dice into small cubes. Add chicken and sliced green onions to cabbage. Melt butter in saucepan, add almonds and sesame seeds and lightly brown. Add to cabbage. Mix oil, vinegar and sugar. Pour over cabbage mix. Break-up Top Ramen mix with cabbage and sprinkle seasoning packet over mix. Mix thoroughly and serve or chill for an hour then serve. |
