Sausage Breakfast CasseroleMom used to fix this casserole when we wanted to get up and enjoy a quiet morning without being in the kitchen. I make this for Christmas morning, and it is always a favorite with the family. It is also fun to make on a summer morning when we are heading out on an early fishing trip. For those early morning "to go" days, I put the dish in the oven before I go to bed, set my oven timer to start at a set time, and it is ready to go when we wake up. There are lots of ways to mix this up; use another kind of meat, cheese, or even fancy bread.
